Your go-to travel guide

From the old-world streets of Casco Antiguo to the calm shores of the San Blas Islands, Panamá is packed with experiences.

1. Wander Casco Antiguo

In Panamá, all roads lead to Casco Antiguo, and when you arrive in the historic old quarter, you'll immediately be swept away by the color, clamor, and sheer good vibes of the iconic district. Stroll the lively squares and pop into the Museo de la Mola to see traditional indigenous textile art or snap a photo or two at the Arco Chato – the last remnants of a church built by Dominican friars.

Whatever you choose to do, you cannot miss a tour of the tastebuds through the area's world-class eateries. As the heart of the gastronomy scene in Panama City, no visit is complete without trying some of Panama's best dishes. From local seafood specialties to international flavors, tuck into a world of flavor here.

2. Catamaran in the San Blas Islands

For sheer stimulation, it's hard to beat taking a private catamaran through the San Blas Islands, a sun-dappled archipelago consisting of hundreds of islands and cays - less than 50 inhabited. A catamaran trip offers the chance to snorkel, swim, explore the serene islands, rest and recharge, and chow down on fresh lobster. Hungry yet?

3. Hang out on a helicopter

Panamá is beautiful from every angle, but it shines from above. Book a helicopter tour of the city to get a birds-eye view of the country - and level up your Instagram with some once-in-a-lifetime snaps. Enjoying some sunset views with a glass of bubbly as you soar above the skyscrapers is a great way to make memories that last a lifetime.

4. Take a real food tour

Quick beach bites are great, but make some time in your schedule for a food tour taking in the local specialties. You'll find some great local juices at Parque Omar and coconut water straight from the source. Head to Umami to sample some Chinese and Panamanian fusion fare, and then for a nightcap, head to Belisario, where you can order a Chumical - a cocktail with Bombay gin, orange, passion-fruit syrup, and Aperol - all served up in a funky tiki mug.
